Fresh, cold water—pure and beautiful. When you are in the mood for a little something extra, without added calories, we’ve got just the thing. Try elevating your water to another level by adding fruit, berries, or herbs. Refreshing, tasty and close to 0 carbs! Yes, please! Flavored Cold Water!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh, cold water
  • flavoring of your choice, for example fresh raspberries or fresh mint or sliced cucumber
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

    1. Pour fresh, cold water into a pitcher.
    2. Add flavoring of your choice and let sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
    3. Possible additions include berries, fruit, fresh mint, or citrus fruits like orange, grapefruit, lime and lemon in thin slices.
    4. Cucumber is another classic with a neutral but refreshing taste.
    5. Just a few slices or pieces will flavor an entire pitcher.
    6. Enjoy!!!

About Water

Around 60 percent of the body is made up of water. And around 71 percent of the planet’s surface is covered by water. Perhaps it is the ubiquitous nature of water that means drinking enough each day is not at the top of many people’s lists of priorities.

The recommended water consumption can vary based on age. Weight, sex, activity level, and the climate you live in. But generally speaking, women should drink 90 ounces (11 cups) of fluids per day. And men should drink 125 ounces (16 cups) per day.

But if you want to get specific. There’s a pretty simple way to figure out the exact amount of water you should be drinking each day. Multiply your weight by ⅔ then consider your activity level. You should add 12 ounces of water to your daily intake for every 30 minutes of exercise.
