The Bengal could never be called delicate. He is an athlete: agile and graceful with a strong. Muscular body, as befits a cat who looks as if he belongs in the jungle. Belgian Bengal Cat!

With its lithe body, large oval eyes, and a coat that’s covered in contrasting spotted or marbled markings, the Bengal looks like a tiny jungle cat.

Belgian Bengal Cat

Thor, a sweet Bengal who lives with his human Rani Cucicov in Belgium, is absolutely gorgeous. His amazing green eyes. His auburn fur and his uniquely distinctive markings make him appear to more of a supermodel than a cat. That’s also known as the Asian leopard cat.

But don’t hate him just because he’s beautiful. Like many of his breed, Thor is very loyal, playful, silly, demanding and even a bit lazy.

If you love a cat with an exotic look but without the size and danger of a wild cat. The Bengal was developed with you in mind. Created by crossing small Asian Leopard Cats with domestic cats. This large-boned, short haired cat stands out for his spotted or marbled coat of many colors.

Some Bengal coats have striking rosettes or spots made up of more than one color, usually a secondary color forming a dark outlining to the spot. Bengal coats also come in a marbled pattern: one or more colors swirled into the background color.

The Bengal cat is a wild cat

Today, owning a leopard cat—a small spotted wildcat from South and East Asia. That’s also known as the Asian leopard cat. Can be a highly regulated and complex proposition. But it was much easier in 1963, when a cat breeder named Jean Sugden purchased a female leopard cat from a pet store.

But nature found a way, and the two cats mated. Later, the leopard cat gave birth to a litter of kittens. Sadly, only one female kitten survived, but the leopard cat got pregnant once more and gave birth to two more babies!

Personality

The Bengal is highly active and highly intelligent! This makes him fun to live with, but he can sometimes be challenging. On the whole, the Bengal is a confident, talkative, friendly cat who is always alert.

Nothing escapes his notice. He likes to play games, including fetch, and he’s a whiz at learning tricks. A tall cat tree or two is a must for this feline, as are puzzle toys that will challenge his intelligence. On the rare occasions that he isn’t swinging on chandeliers or swimming in your pool, the affectionate Bengal will be pleased to sit on your lap.

The Bengal is an active cat

Even though a Bengal looks like a wildcat, it’s been bred to have the personality of a typical feline. Bengal owners say their cats are intelligent, vocal, and very active.

They love to climb furniture, leap up onto high surfaces, play fetch, and splash around in bathtubs and sinks. If you’re looking for a docile lap cat, the Bengal isn’t for you. But if you’re an energetic person who wants a cat that can keep up with your high-intensity lifestyle, it might be the perfect breed!

Some Bengals are fond of playing in water! And you may find yours fishing out of the aquarium if you’re not careful. This is a happy, entertaining cat who wants lots of attention. He does best with a person who spends a lot of time at home and will enjoy playing and interacting with him!
